Preserving Culture or Destroying Human Rights????

The recent attack on women in Mangalore pubs just about proves the existence of poisoned and corrupt(emotionally and culturally corrupt) minds in India!

These attacks are a disgrace not just for the country but for the whole human race. The society that we live in today has gone way ahead in terms of technological advancements and economic growth but sadly human mind is still immature, prejudiced and emotionally defective!

Today the country's roads are not just unsafe for women but unsafe for brothers and sisters to walk on. For, they may be mistook for a couple and attacked on for no valid reason. Totally insane.

I am no believer in Western style of living(as people call it) but certainly I do believe that every human on earth has the right to live his life the way he wishes without hindering the interests of anybody else.

The recent proclamation by a certain group of individuals( I am not mentioning their name not out of fear but to keep my tongue clean!) to marry away couples found together on Valentines Day is beyond words of condemnation. Atrocious! The minds have become so narrow that clear thinking is lost forever!

Whenever I think about the self-proclaimed protectors of Indian Culture, I remember just one saying,

"Everybody sees his own reflection in others!"

  1. indian culture hails everythin from hosptality to respectin women. personally pub-alcohol-smoking-bartop dancin n all tat kinda stuff is a BIG NO men or women..but one thing i dont get it..take hospitality for example which plays a major role in indian culture and all..it means the visitor/guest findin our country comfortable to stay in..meaning goin to places with ease..meaning good transport facilities and infrastructure..get my point now?..bad roads aren't part of indo-culture too...so many other stuff too...

  3. Yup.. The problem is our country just hails the virtues of women and its ever repeated Athithi Devo Bhava but in practice, well, forget it!

  4. Exactly.. As far as the couple don't hinder the traffic on roads and behave in a decent and acceptable manner, i believe it is nobody's business as to their relationship.

  5. This is no genuine concern by the Ram Sena for Indian values. It is just a publicity stunt.I think that the people responsible must be put behind bars!

  6. I agree wit yr views.. it was said women were attacked bcoz they spoiled indian culture.. does attacking a woman form part of promoting indian culture then? if tey really wanted to stop this culture, they could've taken legal steps.. tat's the maximum they could've done.. moreover we cannot be assured tat the pubs will stay closed forever.. probably only till all this chaos gets over.. after tat?? if they start attacking everytime, india'll probably bcum a big burial ground..

but shouldn't the youth too behaving properly?? probably they must've been taught the difference bet fashion and vulgarity and between enjoying freedom and causing irritation to the public.. too late now, no use grumbling.. we can only pray they behave properly hereafter

but definitely this marriage-for-valentines proposal is tooooooooooooooo aggressive.. i felt like slapping that man wen he said tis.. thank god he's put behind bars now.. "True lovers" can be peaceful.. happy to hear the cops are ready to punish ppl who cross their limits

  8. i feel that their action is inhuman.
but their notion to bring a discipline and make ppl live upto our culture is right. but that should be common for both men and women, when the country is speaking so much abt equality. Both men and women should never ever give up our culture.
