A Day in My Life!

28.01.2009
I was scheduled to attend a rally as a part of NSS activities. Ms. Kanimozhi, MP was also to be a part of the rally. The rally was cancelled at the last moment on 28.01.2009 as our ex-president,
Mr. R. Venkataraman had passed away the previous day(27.01.2009). And the inefficiency of the organisers was clearly felt when they failed to inform the various participants of the rally and the college authorities about the cancellation of the rally. This resulted in students of various colleges assembling near light house(Marina Beach) on 28.01.2009. There was utter chaos and confusion.

I, along with a few of my friends and juniors stood near a subway waiting for another set of juniors to report to us. A traffic police inspector came to us and told that the place where we stood wasn't a public place (Imagine my irritation!) and instead asked us to go to the beach! How stupid! It was 9 30 AM then.. Not one soul was in the beach and he expected us to go there in the hot sun and claimed that it was safe. We just moved to a nearby bus stop. He came there again and told us to go to the beach. I and my friends shouted orders to our juniors not to move. I told my juniors not to pay heed to that ******* within the traffic cop's earshot. I was irritated. He was just looking for opportunities to talk! Highly disgusting!

When we were still waiting for our juniors we saw an accident on the road. A biker skid and fell when he was hit by a car at the signal and this ******* cop stood without moving a limb. Disgusting!

A few goons(they don't deserve to be called students) of Presidency College came and passed comments. It was really irritating. Needless to say, that ******* cop didn't do anything about it. ********

My juniors finally came and we left the place in batches. It was one day which taught me the difficulties involved in handling 50 students for whose safety you will be held responsible. I am sharing this with you just to let you know the inhuman face of Chennai! The people who are supposed to protect are the ones you can least expect protection from!

  9. if u had a chance to see MP or whoever presided the meeting.u must have put a word to her about this. else u should have shouted and created a scene that the public watched u. once if he is ashamed i am sure he would not do it to anybody else.CRIMINALS ARE BETTER THAN THESE KINDA PPL

  10. the trouble is no MP presided over the occasion and the whole thing had been called off.. As for the scene I d have preferred giving him one tight slap,u know me enough to believe this! I refrained my emotions that day because we had to take care of juniors and would be held responsible for their safety.
